Cycle life test

Cycle life test is one of the basic tests which Neware battery tester (BTS3000, BTS4000, BTS5000, BTS6000, BTS7000, BTS8000, BTS9000) can support.

Following example for your reference.

Battery model: Li-ion 18650,  2000mAh,   3.7V

Principle of battery cycle life test:

For example, the nominal charge and discharge cycle shall be "no less than 80% of the nominal capacity after 500 cycles”.

1.  Full charge the battery to the nominal voltage--4.2V

2.  Discharge the battery to the cut-off voltage--2.8V

3.  Cycle step1 to step 2 500times.

4.  Following step 1 and step 2 to charge and discharge again, record the discharge capacity. Compared this result with 80% of the original nominal capacity. Then you can judge whether this battery is up to standard or not.
